Winding Down on Arrival Day at the School of Public Service

After a day of travel on planes, trains, and automobiles to get to Washington, D.C., it was time to relax and meet some new friends.  A scavenger hunt helped break the ice, then our hungry travelers ate outside in Gregory Court.  After a break to watch World Cup soccer (good for 95:00 minutes, don't ask about the last five seconds), we finished the day with an ice cream social on the roof of St. Albans School, with a Cathedral on one side and a view of the city and U.S. Capitol on the other.
Working hard to get an answer on the Scavenger Hunt!

Not a bad view while eating your ice cream!

Ice cream or ice breaker?  You be the judge!

"Why yes, we ARE having an ice cream social in the backyard of the sixth largest Cathedral in the world."
