Egg Tosses and Organ Recitals: Independence Day at the St. Albans School of Public Service

Our concert-goers in the Cathedral before the start of the concert
Independence Day on the grounds of the Washington National Cathedral brings with it the special benefit of being in walking distance from a grand Washington, D.C. tradition: the National Cathedral's Annual Independence Day Organ Recital, featuring virtuoso vocal and organ performances of patriotic favorites.  (Click HERE for a link to the 2014 concert.)

After a little high culture in the morning, it was time for another great tradition -- this one slightly more localized to the St. Albans School of Public Service -- the SPS Olympics, including the three-legged race (see video above)
and exciting egg toss!  After a lunchtime cookout and some time to relax, we are off next to a country carnival in Frederick County, Maryland.
