Somewhere Over the Rainbow . . .

It was quite a day at SPS '14: a lot of work, a little play, and a rainbow over St. Albans to end the day.

In the morning, the St. Albans School of Public Service class of 2014 visited one of the leading think tanks in Washington, D.C., the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).  Some of the members of our group had already visited CSIS on a "Ted Trip," but this time the whole group visited to hear from a panel of young CSIS professionals.  The members of the panel spoke not only about their substantive projects, but about their career paths to date and what a day at a think tank might involve.

In the afternoon, SPS '14 took classes in Economics and Public Speaking, and then it was time for a little relaxation in the form of a pool party at the home of SPS Board Member Ms. Mascolo.  The weather cooperated enough not only to give us time for the pool and badminton, but an amazing rainbow after a summer storm.

FYI: the splash in the foreground is Daniel W!
