SPS 2011: At the Smithsonian Folklife Festival
The St. Albans School of Public Service class of 2011 is currently at the National Mall enjoying the Smithsonian Folk Life festival. This year's festival celebrates the culture of Colombia; the 50th Anniversary of the Peace Corps; and rythm and blues music. The Festival includes music, crafts, dance, and sports exhibits. According to an on-site dispatch from SPS faculty member Mr. Stephany, "the SPS gang is tearing up the dance floor at the Colombian music and Rhythm/Blues tents. Jairus [second from right, above photo] led the Blues tent in some Memphis style line dancing. SPS had the place rockin'!"
